I'm a mess. :dummy: Can't remember to cross post some updates to this account and everything... Regardless, I'll try to sum up what's been going on. In particular, the status of when I'll take commissions. Effectively, I don't plan on returning to commissions anytime soon. I'm way too burnt out on them and when I did take commissions I was struggling to keep up with deadlines and finish them out. I wasn't responsible with my time and it lead to me taking too long with commissioners. I want to try to focus on my own comics and animations, and hopefully get Patreon running in earnest. I really do want to make that a focus of mine moving forward, it'll just be a struggle for me to get there. In the meantime, I'm probably going to be looking for a job. I've been working a retail job the last 5+ years, and despite my fortune working with good people, it leaves me exhausted and makes it difficult to focus on the art I want to make. This past year has been the hardest year I've ever had, in no small part because of how the current administration responded to a pandemic (or didn't respond), causing me to have to forego choices I was trying to make to improve my life. The pandemic nearly took a loved one from me and I've had to be on high alert to make sure I didn't catch or spread the virus due to working retail. And retail has been an extra special kind of hell this last year. But that's not what prompted this post, obviously. I had wanted to post back in November when Biden won, but I didn't feel the need. Recently, fascist terrorists walked into the capitol of America and tried to perform a coup. As of writing this, it's just the first day, and I'm under no illusion that this will be it. But I've been called alarmist for referring to Trump as a fascist. I no longer feel any sort of hesitance to call these people fascists

It's been a hot minute and I haven't submitted anything here in a lot while, possibly my longest period ever? So I wanted to give an update. First off, commissions are closed, and are likely to stay closed for a long while. I'm having a terrible time finishing a commission, which I feel awful about, but just in general after that, I'm wanting to focus on personal projects and possibly other portfolios that I can't really get done with commissions. But my first priority is finishing this commission, I'm just kicking myself for thinking I could take on more responsibilities during a pandemic. And, of course, the pandemic. I think I can agree with a lot of people that 2020 has been, hands down, the worst year in recent memory. What an awful year I've had. One of the biggest impactors being that I found out I'm technically an essential worker. I've had many say I should be grateful for my job, and while I am to an extent, really and truly, it sucks.
